What Texas requires of childcare staff
These are requirements set by the State of Texas for anyone working in a licensed childcare operation. They apply after an offer, not to this application.
- A background check through Texas Health and Human Services, including fingerprinting.
- A notarized state affidavit, completed before the first day of employment.
- Tuberculosis screening documentation, per state and local health requirements.
- Annual training hours, plus CPR and first aid certification.
This application does not ask for your Social Security number. That is collected later, in person, as part of the state background check.
